The Sky’s the Limit

Pick a view. Any view.

French company Technicon wants to bring you the world as you jet across the blue. Whether it’s business or pleasure, this windowless Ixion plane would enable flyers to use the interior screens for whatever you prefer. They can serve as video conferencing for example or, if you’re trying to escape work, select the destination of your choice in the highest-tech way possible.

Technicon’s design director, Gareth Davies has stated they want “to break out of conventional thinking with regards to a business jet exterior and interior”, and “quickly settled on the controversial yet interesting idea of removing the windows from the cabin and using existing or very near future technology to display the exterior environment to the inside surfaces of the cabin via external cameras”.

Right now the concept is just a proposal but let’s hope the idea soon develops legs…and then the appropriate wings.
