Sarah Tuft

Sarah Tuft is the epitome of superwoman. Having lived and breathed the organic lifestyle since she was born, today, she translates her upbringing as an apple farmer’s daughter in Hotchkiss, Colorado into Wacky Apple – an organic snack option for children (and the young at heart). Having attended CSU followed by the requisite “ski bum” stint in Vail, Sarah then moved to Denver where she lives today. When she’s not working on her MBA or building her business, she can be found celebrating the good life in the Mile High City. Here, a few of the people, places and things that keep Sarah inspired and put together.

1.  Flowers:  Peonies, I had a gorgeous hedge of these In my back yard.  They were a rare, beautiful and fragrant variety, white with a pink spot in the middle, I loved that hedge!

2.  Kerastase Bain Force Architecte and Masque Force Architecte hair care: Because we live in a dry harsh climate, and when you spend a lot of time outside you hair shows the damage. Kerastase really does protect and strengthen my hair, creating healthy, strong, beautiful hair.

3.  Powder Skiing in Beaver Creek. In my opinion, Powder skiing is the most fun and best all body workout you can get. It is absolutely my happy place.

4.  Sunglasses for our 300+ sunny days a year: I love Oakley sunglasses, I like how they make fun sporty yet stylish designs so you can wear a fun fashionable pair while running or riding my bike.

5.  Baking: My chic black Kitchen Aid! I love baking cookies, cakes and treats for my friends and family. I love the clean, chic design of my black Kitchenaid Pro 7-quart stand mixer. It looks good anywhere!

6.  Kiss My Face Lip Balm : I know it sounds so simple, but it has a sweet strawberry smell, is made with organic ingredients, moisturizes chapped lips, has SPF and gives the perfect gloss while on the go!

7.  L’Occitane Organic and Fair Trade Certified Shea Butter is the best moisturizer I have found. I use it every night on my hands, feet or body and it always hydrates, soothes, softens and protects my skin. It is a great anti-aging cream. Plus I love that it supports women in Africa!

8.  Other Colorado Proud [Wacky Apple is Colorado Proud brand!] local brands : I love that Colorado makes such delicious and awesome food!  Bhakti Chai, Justin’s Honey Nut Butter with apple slices, Love Grown Granola and Noosa Yoghurt are just a few of my favorites!

9.  The apple trees on our family’s orchard in peak spring, usually the middle of May, they are just breath taking!

10.  DVF Wrap Dress: I am always on the go and this dress packs great, doesn’t wrinkle and is appropriate for any occasion.

11.  The Denver restaurant scene, of course LOVE those devoted to local, organic, fresh, sustainable fare!  Just a few of my favorites are Potager, Fruition, Root Down, Bittersweet and the Green Russell!

12.  Champagne!  I love Champagne, I feel it is appropriate for every occasion! Particularly love Veuve Clicquot.

13.  My few must have Make-up items that are always with me:  Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara and La Bella Donna Mineral Powder: Two simple, yet powerful products. Love the bold mascara and the light and perfecting SPF mineral Powder.
