1. The loves of my life – My pack- lovely husband Shawn and our two Golden Retrievers- Garner and Gibson- adopted from the Golden Retriever Rescue of the Rockies of Arvada, Colorado. My paperswell art magazine supports GRRR and its good works of rescuing hundreds of abandoned Golden Retrievers each year.

2. Pretty packages – Love of pretty gift wrap is a genetic trait given to me by my mother who wraps the most exquisite packages. I am certain it is because of this that I created my “hello love” line of paper goods which features hand illustrated holiday and seasonal gift wrap. I love to wrap gifts using unusual materials, too, such as wallpaper samples; chalkboard runners; ledger paper and scented drawer liners.

3. There is nothing that makes a home smell more elegant than a gardenia-scented Rigaud candle. Available at Merci Stationer of Denver.

4. My favorite sound- that of my husband playing the piano on his prized Dakota Jackson limited edition art deco Steinway.

5. My favorite stateside vacation- Bandon Dunes on the southern coast of Oregon; a destination beyond all destinations for the avid golfer on its six Coore & Crenshaw golf courses.

6. My husband and I married at the Mosaic Rose Garden within the Denver Botanic Gardens so it has a special place in my heart. I shall always the remember the long walk through the grounds arm-in-arm with my father as he lead me to my husband-to-be.

7. Now that I have a newfound reverence for vegetables and good nutrition, I devour healthful eating blogs daily. is one of my invaluable resources for learning about super foods and their healing power.

8. It must be the southern lady in me but afternoon tea at the Brown Palace Hotel is one of the most enjoyable experiences in the city. Its grand beauty, architectural significance and intriguing history make it the perfect setting to be transported to another era. The elegant environment makes you sit up

9. Immersing myself in the development of new styles of calligraphy is my favorite creative activity which I do daily with a collection of calligraphy nibs from around the world; Denver’s Meininger’s Art Supply is my local source for calligraphic and art supplies.

10. The most exquisite scent of which I will never tire- Santa Maria Novella Talborina body powder from the world’s oldest pharmacy- established in 1612 in Florence, Italy. It smells of angels and rose gardens. The packaging design is exquisite, too.
