Real Wedding: Kea & Max
Kea and Max are Minnesota natives, gone Colorado. The Denver couple first met in college where they became fast friends. After graduation, they drifted apart before reconnecting while Max was on a business trip. The couple began to master to art of long distance dating before Kea eventually moved to Denver to be closer to her love. Yet as it so often does, life had other plans for Kea and Max when Kea was suddenly diagnosed with carcinoid cancer of the appendix and colon. “Max immediately flew down to be there while I underwent a major surgery to remove the cancer. Over the next few years of our dating life, I had another major abdominal surgery and was in and out of the hospital. Through these hard medical times, Max’s support and love for me never wavered,” Kea remembers.
Three years later, with a clean bill of health and the world (literally) at their feet, Max proposed to Kea while hiking in beautiful Breckenridge. Kea emphatically said yes, and the planning began. Knowing a wedding in their hometown would be just the ticket, the couple coordinated their “I dos” in Minnesota, where they would be surrounded by their closest friends and family. What transpired was a day as gorgeous and colorful as the couple themselves. From the bridesmaids dresses to the flowers, everything about Kea and Max’s big day was bright and cheerful. Our favorite part? The appearance of two very special little ladies who served as Kea and Max’s stunning flower girls.
