Phoning it In

Much adored Denver interior design firm Griffin Design Source has caught our eye yet again with their new Telephone Tables. Inspired by the functional yet utterly stylish tables of her childhood home, owner and designer Ramey Caulkins was ready to put her own spin on things. While timeless in shape, the rich lacquer colors and wallpaper, leather, and fabric options make them fresh and unexpected. The combinations are almost endless. A glossy white base with a chic zebra hide top makes a graphic, modern statement. Or try a matte black base with riveted burlap top for a hit of texture. Prefer something custom? Take a risk with a pattern you’ve been eyeing or create a hint of drama next to your bed.

We must mention the casters. Not only are they a practical choice and allow you to use the table where needed, as needed but we love the industrial look. The brass makes a crisp contrast to the lacquer and brings a bit of antique feel to them. Made from high quality maple and finished in a 5 coat lacquer process, these tables are made to last—and stay chic the whole time. – Kate Bailey
