Admit it. You catch yourself browsing online at dream homes when you’re supposed to be working. You covet the luxury real estate guide when it arrives in the mail and gaze for hours at the gorgeous listings. You may have even ducked into an open house or two while “running” in Wash Park. You, my dear, are a real estate voyeur. Fortunately, there’s a cure for your all-too-common condition. On Sunday, September 16th, Vail Mountain School will host its 41st Annual Home Tour. With the school, the Town of Vail and the ski area all preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary in the upcoming months, this year’s Home Tour was designed to provide a unique perspective through the lens of the Home Tour.
Design-obsessed guests will have the opportunity to tour eight inspiring homes showcasing a variety of architectural styles ranging from a traditional Norwegian influenced grass roofed home on the banks of Gore Creek, to a bravely contemporary residence designed to receive the owner’s collection of late-century minimalist art. What’s more, you’ll also enjoy a fabulous luncheon by Larkspur at Vail Mountain School, music and art exhibitions by VMS students, the ever-famous Gourmet Pantry featuring hundreds of delicious epicurean delights, a trade show featuring VMS sponsors and a raffle with over $21,000 in incredible prizes.
