Food for Thought

Foodie Registry in Reign Denver MagazineWhile we love Anna Weatherley china, Tiffany crystal and the Crate & Barrel espresso maker just as much as the next bride, we also love a night on the town. Particularly in the midst of wedding planning chaos. Yet without that extra push, it’s likely that date night will go by the wayside in order to stay in and work on that seating chart yet again. Enter Foodie Registry. The latest alternative bridal registry that lets hip, culinary loving brides and grooms register for gift cards at their favorite local restaurants and watering holes. Thus far, a smattering of popular Front Range eateries are among the mix, with names like Second Home, Elway’s, Black Pearl and Cuba Cuba dotting the roster. The Chicago-based company also promises that oodles more are being added shortly. Registrants can choose how much they’d like to receive from each destination, and guests may give gift cards that can be mailed directly to the couple or to the gift giver, in nearly any denomination. Now that’s food for thought. Foodie Registry, online at www.foodieregistry.com.
