Coming Up Roses
It’s a simple fact of life. Girls love flowers. The newest kid on the botanical block, The Ruffly Rose is a girly girl’s (and flower lover’s) paradise. Housed inside a bright pink and green Victorian abode, this charming haven adds an unmistakable touch of whimsy to the Old South Pearl Street shopping district. Owner and floral designer Emily Rodriguez has a knack for creating arrangements that are tasteful and stunning, yet surprisingly affordable. We’ve popped in on several occasions, and each time, Emily has worked within our budget to create a look that pleases our discerning sense of style. She also offers a wide range of darling containers and vases that are almost as adorable as the floral creations they hold. The Ruffly Rose even carries unique locally made gifts and accessories, old-fashioned candy and fantastic homemade cupcakes (flavors change from day to day) by Denver-based Sugar Mama. While there, be sure to check out the clever collection of outdoor flower pots and hanging plants – a must for the horticulturally-challenged garden gal.
