Cocktails for a CureLast week, we gave you the inside scoop on the Cocktails for a Cure event to benefit University of Colorado Cancer Center. Today, we’re upping the imbibe-ante with a swoon-worthy recipe from The Bitter Bar’s James Lee. This, and a bevy of other concoctions, will be front and center for your drinking pleasure Thursday evening. A few tickets are still available and rumor has it you’ll leave with a swag bag brimming with goodies from Reign Magazine, Oster Jewelers and more. Uber is even offering guests $10 off their town car service (use code REIGN), ensuring you arrive safely, and in style. Tickets can be purchased online until Wednesday at www.cucancercenterfund.org (select “Events”), and any remaining tickets will be sold at the door.

The Water Maker

1.5 oz. Maker’s Mark Bourbon
0.5. oz. Pierre Ferrand “dry curacao”
0.5 oz. Agave Nectar
0.5 oz. Water
0.75 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
1 slice Fresh Watermelon
2-3 leaves of Basil

Mix and shake all ingredients. Agave nectar and water are a 1:1 ratio. Pour into a large old-fashioned glass and garnish with watermelon slice and basil leaves.
