Be True To Your Pool

Denver isn’t exactly known for its vast selection of posh swimming pools. There’s no SoHo House to be seen, and the concept of a private backyard pool is about as rare as the Hope Diamond. Fortunately, the entrée of Four Seasons in downtown Denver has changed the way the city does “poolside” for the better. Perched on the 3rd story rooftop of the hotel, the pool at Four Seasons adds a much-needed splash of style and sophistication to our skyline. Open to hotel guests seven days a week, the rooftop pool terrace screams luxury with chic furnishings and pool attendants dishing up complimentary extras like frozen honey yogurt, flavored tea lollipops and cold Oshibori towels. Lush greens and a deep mosaic tile finish will have you channeling your inner Esther Williams in seconds flat, while poolside après sun spa treatments that include foot, hand and chair massage options add to the opulence.  Not in the market for an overnight stay? Don’t fret, fabulous, you can still get in on the aquatic action by booking a 60-minute treatment at the adjacent Four Seasons Spa. Choose from traditional treatments or opt for the aptly themed Coconut Crème and Cucumber Soothing Wrap or After Sun Facial (both $120) and you’ll be granted full-day access to the pool. Members of the Fitness Center at Four Seasons also get pool privileges year round  – the perfect excuse to finally get on that Elliptical. If you’re still not sold, you can get a sneak peek on Thursday nights when the hotel’s poolside bar, Level 3, opens to the public from 5 to 10 with a wide selection of sparkling wines, cocktails and two cuisine categories – chilled or grilled. Other fun favorites include spiked frozen push pops in flavors like Watermelon Margarita and Blackberry Mojito (yes, please).  Four Seasons Hotel Denver, 1111 14th Street in Denver, 303.389.3000, www.fourseasons.com/denver
